Marilyn Minter Teams Up With Madonna
Since its web release in May, Marilyn Minter's "Green Pink Caviar" video has had over 100,000 hits online. Her video was featured on the Creative Time MTV billboard in Times Square and at the Sunshine Cinema as a trailer for her exhibition at Salon 94.
Minter's video is now featured in the staging of Madonna's "Candyshop", opening her 2009 Sticky & Sweet European tour.

Sexy and the City
As part of New York City's Photographs initiative, Yossi Milo Gallery is getting in the game with Sexy in the City. A number of galleries specializing in photography have joined forces to present over a dozen gallery shows this summer featuring views and perspectives on New York City.
Sexy and the City shows the alluring, romantic and sometimes scandalous side of New York’s people and places. Capturing private, intimate moments and blatant displays of sexuality, these photographs span the decades from the 1940s to the present day, taken in landmark locations like the Brooklyn Bridge and in the quiet, out-of-the-way corners of the city.
Among the artists featured in the exhibition are Merry Alpern, Will Anderson, Diane Arbus, Alvin Baltrop, Bruce Davidson, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Mitch Epstein, Louis Faurer, Leonard Freed, Nan Goldin, Gail Albert Halaban, Charles Harbutt, Lisa Kereszi, André Kertész, Arthur Leipzig, Leon Levinstein, Joel Meyerowitz, Duane Michals, Tod Papageorge, Frank Paulin, Anton Perich, Charles Traub, Arthur Tress, Weegee, Ryan Weideman, and Garry Winogrand.

Aperture Presents Car Girls
I first ran into Jacqueline Hassink's work at Art Basel last year. She first did a series called Power Book where she documented the boardrooms, changing rooms and other spaces poweful women lived.
When I came across some of her photographs on Aperture's website, I was among the first to pick up her latest work, Car Girls Portfolio. If you don't follow the Aperture site, you should. I consider them one of the best resources for that diamond in the rough piece of art that you need to have. The $1,500 level is sold out so hurry up. You will thank me later. Back from Vacation. Game On!
Back in May, I didn't realize this would become one of the most epic summers of my life. I can't wait to share some incredible stories with you in the next few weeks (along with some life altering news!). With a few great excursions still on the horizon, I plan to resume regular updates this week. In the meantime, here's a shot from my trip to Croatia over 4th of July week which will help justify my lack of updates!
