I'm convinced that Peter Sarsgaard is the new Philip Seymour Hoffman. An actor that is so talented and dimensional, that he can play any role and absolutely crush. Sarsgaard does it again in 'An Education' but it's Carey Mulligan, a relative newcomer, who steals the show.
The film centers on Jenny (Carey Mulligan), a sharp 16 year old in the England of 1961. She longs for excitement, and is swept up by the glamorous world shown to her by David (Peter Sarsgaard), and older man whose intentions are less than pure. I'm going to leave it at that and encourage you to go see it.
