It's funny how few of my friends have been to the Brooklyn Museum. Trains take you, literally, to building's doorstep. I went last weekend on my first visit and then headed back last night for the American High Fashion gala that featured Band of Outsiders, Philip Crangi, Patrick Ervell, 3.1 Phillip Lim,
Rodarte and Slow and Steady Wins the Race who created individual carnival like
experiences, where museum-goers tossed a ring, got their palms read,
or spun a wheel of fortune while snagging freedbie souvenirs from the brands. We got in for $50 (as museum members) in what would have cost $1,000 per head at the Met or MoMA.
