I'll be honest. Pink is my favorite color and Paul Smith is my favorite clothing designer. No wonder his store in L.A. is my favorite place to shop in the world. If you ever find yourself on Melrose, be sure to swing by his shop.

Bansky Hits L.A.

Who better to promote the film than the man, himself? During last week's U.S. premiere week of Exit Through the Gift Shop, Banksy hit L.A. to leave his signature around town. Check them out via LAist.

$1 for a Museum

I'm off to L.A. on Friday, so the City of Angels is this week's theme. First up is Eli Broad. The billionaire was recently offered a 99-year lease of prime real estate for $1. The Santa Monica City Council offered to lease a 2.5-acre site a couple of blocks from the beach for Broad to showcase his 2,000 piece collection.

Around the World in 80 Seconds

This video is for a new Sony point and shoot camera, but that doesn't make the concept, scenery or project any less spectacular. It also is helping me to plan my next adventure.

Brooklyn Museum is a Player

It's funny how few of my friends have been to the Brooklyn Museum. Trains take you, literally, to building's doorstep. I went last weekend on my first visit and then headed back last night for the American High Fashion gala that featured Band of Outsiders, Philip Crangi, Patrick Ervell, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Rodarte and Slow and Steady Wins the Race who created individual carnival like experiences, where museum-goers tossed a ring, got their palms read, or spun a wheel of fortune while snagging freedbie souvenirs from the brands. We got in for $50 (as museum members) in what would have cost $1,000 per head at the Met or MoMA.

What 150 million books buys

Michael Crichton sold 150 million fiction and thriller books. Even more impressive is the blue chip roster of art he collected. Check out the upcoming Christie's auction from his estate. One of the best I've ever seen.

Is Banksy Movie a Hoax?

Is Exit Through the Gift Shop a scam? Some are calling it yet another Banksy prank. To be honest, I'm happy either way. Love the film if it's true, love it even more if Banksy once again raises his middle finger to the art world. Shepad Fairey swears its for real in Vanity Fair.
